Martin Bernstein
Martin is currently a board member of Synchronoss Technologies (NASDAQ: SNCR) and Confident Medspa, and was previously a board member of Fondul Proprietatea (BVB: FP, LSE: FP).
Martin is based in Connecticut and brings fifteen years of experience investing and working with management teams and boards on capital allocation strategies, governance, financing and operational turnarounds at a variety of investment firms. He has led numerous investments across technology, consumer, transportation, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, power, infrastructure, and other sectors
Martin is the Managing Partner of Amber Hill Capital, an independent private investment firm focused on control investments with a particular emphasis on supporting management buyouts.
• From 2021 – Feb 2024, he was the Head of Private Investments at B. Riley Principal Investments, responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing company investments in both public and private companies
• From 2014 – 2021, he worked at Anchorage Capital where he led investments across capital structures, including public equities, private equity, performing credit, bank debt and distressed debt, and restructuring situations from the firm’s New York and London offices
• Prior experience includes time as an analyst at Bocage Capital and a member of the investment team for the endowment of Howard Hughes Medical Institute
