Synchronoss and Ceon Partner to Simplify and Speed Up Delivery of Converged Services
Synchronoss and Ceon Partner to Simplify and Speed Up Delivery of Converged Services
May 14, 2001
BETHLEHEM, Pa.-- Synchronoss Technologies, a front running business service provider of hosted operations support systems (OSS) environments for telecom carriers, today announced a strategic alliance with Ceon Corporation, a provider of OSS software for broadband services. Together, the companies will focus on providing comprehensive OSS solutions for telecom carriers to streamline service activation and order management speeding up delivery of converged services (voice, video and data). The US OSS market already exceeds $20B (RHK) and is forecasted to reach $24B by 2003 (DataQuest).
Synchronoss' ActivationNow bundles the complicated OSS back-end building blocks ordering, provisioning, fulfillment, management, monitoring and billing into a manageable, secure, scalable service delivery platform. As a hosted solution, ActivationNow eliminates the need for complex, time-consuming and costly internal OSS systems and enables carriers to quickly and cost-effectively connect business subscribers to their high-speed networks.
Ceon's It's On software will provide ActivationNow's service fulfillment functions. It's On is the only OSS software on the market that can meet the requirements for service bundling of voice, video, and data. The software provides subscribers with the ability to initiate a "self service" transaction via a secure, point-and-click Web interface backed up with a distributed, highly scalable architecture.
"We rigorously searched the market for the latest and greatest service fulfillment applications to bundle with our platform, and selected Ceon because of their proven, industrial strength technology," said Stephen Waldis, Synchronoss president and CEO. "Together, we're eliminating carrier's OSS headaches so they can focus on two critical needs - building out their networks and marketing their services."
"What attracted us to this partnership was the depth and breadth of Synchronoss' OSS domain knowledge of large national and international carriers," said Jack Methven, CEO, Ceon Corporation. "With our technology embedded in Synchronoss' hosted OSS platform, we're enabling carriers to service their customers better, faster, and more cost-effectively than ever before."
